seams

Long weekend.

Seriously.

On the plus side though, we're getting a new car on Saturday, there's a new person living on the globe (probably quite a few, but I had a specific one in mind), our house is a lot tidier (against the odds I should think) and I am one tired little monkey.

I gave my monitor ears.

I ain't even seen no "one"

I'm a little reticent to start this here, as I don't want this to become one of them foop-ball bloggins. But gosh-darn that was good fun watching the Spurs kick the Chelsea's ass.

I'm not all about watching the foop-ball. As a general rule I prefer to play than watch (although my arms and legs are both *seriously* protesting that bent), but I couldn't help relishing the prospect as I walked over to the club this afternoon to watch the match. There's something about the communal aspect that is just enjoyable, win or lose.

Obviously it's better if you win. There's some kind of payoff I guess. But I don't think I'd be in a bad mood had we lost. In actual fact, I know I wouldn't be in a bad mood if we had lost. (Been there, done that).

It's something about getting caught up in the moment, and also the tension and.. You know this. I don't need to state obvious things.

In any case, good times. I got some work to do now, so I'll leave you with just two things.

Two things:
- My last post was number 777. How perfect.

- Just realised both me and the Network blogged with Consumer in the title recently. I don't think I deliberately copied him. But you never know.

I'll just clear my diary

It is nice to have a Saturday that would have been busy but has become free through unexpected.. um.. ness.

So we're having a lazy day. Watching The Science of Sleep.

[cut]

It's later on now. Science of Sleep is a good film but it left us feeling a little surreal. Weirdness.

Right now I'm sat around with Misses, Nikbo, DaveFace, Bits and Bobs. We drinkin', we chattin', we chillin'.

Only three more days of work before the holly days. Tuesday is work Christmas 'do'. That should be 'the fun'. Already bin to an unofficial ex-work do last work. That was also 'the fun'.

That's about it.

As an extra piece of information for all o' y'all: don't worry about what you hear here (hear hear?) in the real world. I wouldn't use this forum to carry out fights with people, or.. well.. anything like that. Just so you know.

Also, our car's broken down again. Bloody cars. I think it's the starter motor. We couldn't get it booked into the garage we trust until Monday so we've been without it for nearly a week. Rubbish. That's what that is.

That's about it. As you know, you can't have it all..

never do that to a man when he's in a jazz trance

deep in the joo joo baybee.

It's the weekend again. Not being one to bang on about stuff but time does flow on doesn't it. I haven't seen the ebbs so much in these days.

What's been rocking my clock recently?

The Mighty Boosh (series 1 & 2) as the more astute might have already noticed
Green Wing Series 1
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Five Iron Frenzy - The Greatest Album Never Sold (my own personal best of)

Still to come in the days.. uh.. to come:

The Science of Sleep
Lost in Translation

We gots quizzes this weekend. We gots partays. Then Monday will be back around swift as. SWIFT AS.

Besides.

Actually there was no besides I just fancied a besides.

Hands up who else thinks that the NETWORK should write a sitcom. If he did, it would **** the Boosh. But don't tell Fizz she'd kill me.

You can guess the rude word.

Peaceout.

I meant overandout. I'm not Eminemineminem.

here's where it is at

Reporting in once more. You can't get by without me. I suspect.

Now. I don't have much to say as we're having a 'nice old time' with Bits & Bobs and also NickBo. So.

What I am going to say is that we're on the edge of a momentous occasion. The final release of

BEATS BE PHAT.

The bugged out maxjam by Family Hawks and guests. Featuring:
The Misses
Mothervic
The Azzman Network
Helium Breath
DJ Sub-C/MC Banista
Car Lar
Kidsis
The Butcher
Pumbino
Davo B

The questions remain:

Should it be an mp3 download? Should I remix it into some kind of trippy Youtube video? How much do the protagonists protest?

I'll leave it all to you!!

it's a trip

Thoughts:

- I've had some bizarre spam lately. Some of it is out and out sick and funny ("no more squirt squirt whoops love"), but some of it is just like Radiohead lyrics ("messaging not just"). I'm simultaneously amused and perturbed. Perturbed to think that these emails are worth sending out because there's somehow some kind of return on them.

- I can't help but think these people are in for rather a large shock when they die. I don't think I need to clarify this statement any more, but if you need some help drop me a line

- There are actually two kinds of rebels. Those who rebel from the inside out, and those who rebel from the outside in. The latter can be "inside", it's more of an attitude. I think I'm more of an in/out kind of guy, although I'm not sure I could tell you which I'd prefer to be

- I'm still astounded at how many christians are proud of the fact that they are recognised in non-christian environments as people "who don't swear". I don't want to start the swearing debate (go here if you do), it's just that I can think of a million better things to be 'known' for. If you still need some pointers, how about loyalty, love, honesty, LACK OF PRIDE, gentleness, oh and so on. God, you'd have thought we'd have realised the triviality of externals by now.

That's about it. I had planned on a picture, you know, but somehow it just didn't work out. It's been a good day all told though. Just ask the wife.

where the wild things are

You see now the holiday begins in earnest. Bin mostly lazing aboot these last two days.

Although today you will hopefully note that I have been messing about with the template, making things as they should be. We're nearly there actually. I even made the quote machine spit out random old quotes if there isn't a quote for today. That's because these days there seems to be more days without quotes than with. (hint hint).

It's the Hatt's birthday today. Here's to you fellah!

um um um what else?

Well not so much really. Take care now. Ok bye bye

harking back to when the grass was first cut

Yay. I have summer holidays again. How novel.

I plan to play some mammoth games of 40-40, have lots of kickarounds over Elphinstone, clear the path round the back of the houses, make many trips to Beaneys for sweets and comicz and also build a kart or maybe turn the shed into a ganghouse.

What larks.

Uncommon fine ones at that.

You must understand, I've defished on sleep lately. It happens.

King of the tragic ones

blogger is now in even more languages.

I'm told.

Who remembers text based adventure games? I do. I miss them days. Apart from there was this one game which I couldn't even work out what the first command was. I can't even remember the name of it. I've heard that life can feel like that sometimes.

I've heard and have been told a lot of things. Some of it's even true.

I'll take this opportunity to tip a hat to Mr Blair and to also say good luck to Mr Brown. He'll need it I'd wager. Going back to BlairFace, I was interested to hear about this job trying to make peace in the Middle East. Publicity or revelation of the true heart of the man. Time will tell though I don't suppose the media will.

Time will tell on all of us.

I wonder some days what time will say about me.

That's enough I deem.

dang

forgot to say, the title of the previous post is from a song and I only just realised the chaos significance of it. Clever Tobes.

Aside from that, classic lines ahoy:

You've got to be the best and use this chance to be heard; Your time is now

It's the bloggin mantra don't you know.

don't you find

It's always the people you would like to blog that don't do it. I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that. You're smart people after all..

Not, of course, to say that those that do blog are those who you wouldn't want to. That's stretching the point. But then I'm hoping that being the smart people you are, you would have worked that out too..

I'll leave you with this. My favourite part? Well naturally it's:

The zoo bought the animal ten years ago from a local resident who had kept it as a pet.

Could we have a little more background than that please? Like.. let's say an interview with the 'local resident' (read: nutjob).

I say, here's fun..

I live almost every day
I work it 24/7
I talk rubbish
I wish you could see
I enjoy your company
I look under every stone
I find I work best under pressure
I smell delightful
I hide my true feelings
I pray sporadically
I walk only when I can't get the car
I write gibberish
I see all the visible parts of the spectrum
I sing too loudly
I can can
I watch dvds too often
I yearn for change
I daydream too often
I want a pony
I cry freedom
I read lord of the rings
I love like it's going out of fashion
I sometimes sing out of key
I touch myself
I hurt the ones I love the most
I fear a cage
I hope because sometimes there isn't anything else to do
I break plates, cups and glasses
I eat more than 3 square meals a day
I quit the browser if it crashes
I bathe when I need to relax
I drink all the live long day
I stop at nothing
I save the best til just before last
I hug awkwardly
I am in a prison of my own making
I play the fool
I miss the summer until it's summer
I hold on tight
I forgive everybody
I drive on the left, bitch
I learn very quickly
I have no original thoughts
I don't always mean everything I say
I made a mess and I'm pleased with it
I kiss like you wouldn't believe
I believe like you wouldn't kiss (what?)
I wait so you don't have to
I need a good kick up the arse
I feel so much better
I know I haven't taken this seriously, but would you?
I wonder what makes you tick
I am sorry

always when you least expect it.

This is a list..

  • I've had 3 nosebleeds this evening. I don't know what that means

  • Open Mic went ok thank you.

  • I was meaning to post a photo today but somehow a nice photo never presented itself

  • I've been reading my own archives today. As far as I'm concerned the golden age so far has been around Summer 2006. In my opinion, of course.

  • Speaking of which, who can't wait til Summer?

The end.

You're going to have to bear with me

I have had the idea for a "not bad"™ post just the other day, but you know.. it's been feckin' busy in la-la-land.

Busy and tiring.

So. You'll have to wait.

No biggie I'm sure. And if you're bored you can always head on over and read what either the mothership or the The Matt in the Hat(came back) have said. They both seem to be bloggin' it up at the moment. To my eternal chagrin you understand.

In any case.

Oh by the way, in the mothership's latest post I am guilty of quite probably all the phrases in the last paragraph or so.

You can't have it all..
