vein/vain
continuing the theme.
top five album openings
1. 1977 - Ash
Tie Fighter followed by manic guitar followed by kickass drums. Win win win.
2. Jesus Freak - dc Talk
"I got something for ya man"
3. The End is Here - Five Iron Frenzy
Mainly because I was there. I'm actually somewhere in the sea of voices on the beginning of this album.
4. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - The Smashing Pumpkins
Lovely little piano piece
5. A Picture of the 8th Wonder - Poor Old Lu
Ridiculously long swell of guitar followed by ridiculously long intro. Genius
I was also toying with Muse's army marching type intro to Absolution and Poor Old Lu's insane loud buzz at the beginning of Straight Six causing you to think you had the stereo turned up stupidly loud.
So now you know..

Sorry, I said stereo, when I obviously meant iPod. Because stereos don't exist any more, Apple has eaten them.

Gosh. I really need some Bob Marley albums..
I've already got Lamb.. though.
And I don't think I'll admit to not owning Revolver.
Hmmm.. My music collection is a little poor.
