I've been thinking about this a lot recently*.
And after all this deliberation** I've come to the carefully considered conclusion*** that the collective term for people who use twitter™ should not be twitterites, twitterers, tweeters or such, but in fact should be twats.

The point of Twitter is to create feelings of smug superiority in those who avoid it. At the same time, this happy emotion is tinged with a vague, uneasy sense, buried deep within, that maybe – just maybe – we want to give it a try.
The resulting conflict leads to paranoia and, ultimately, a glass of port.
