Bet you didn't think you'd see me here ever again didja? You did? Well okay then.
We rocked the face off of the Village Hall and not even my evil chest infection could stop the good times to be rolling. I've been gobsmacked by how supportive our friends are. We couldn't have done a sliver of the stuff we did on Saturday night without such amazing people around us. God's been good to us.
So. The album is launched and all. Give me a shout if you'd like to pick yourself up a copy for a tenner.
This is us on Saturday nite. If you peer in you will be able to see someone's towel that is a-bout to catch fire.
Not sure what else to tell you. Now that I'm not so busy thinking about a launch you might get some blogging again. Jury's still out as to whether this is a good idea or not.
We're going to Center Parcs today. Until Sunday. Fun fun fun. Although I can't go down the rapidding something like 400 times because last time I did that I went deaf in both ears for over a week and we can't have me being deaf in both ears whilst rocking it up at the album launch now can we?
Two posts in two days. That hasn't happened since 2006. Oh. Actually no I think it has. But don't let it get you down.
The CDs came back today. So good. Can't believe we've got an actual real album. Amazing. Anyway. Our reporter (me) was there on the scene to document the joyous scenes (me), and I will preserve it here for you:
It's dark, grey and rainy. Just like on my blog. Kinda.
Blogging about blogging is rather self-defeating actually. Kind of like cooking a saucepan. But since the whole thing is rather self-indulgent anyway and since there's so much space on the webbernet to fill and since and since and since and.. I DON'T CARE I'M GONNA ANYWAY.
See I'm not feeling it. I know that y'all can hollah because I've seen that nones of you are feelsking it either. I think back to December when I was posting every day (sometimes a couple of times a day) and I'm scared. What was I posting about? I can't imagine and I don't think I'll check because frankly I probably don't want to know.
Having said that, I posted that Very Thoughts post just a couple of days ago. That wasn't so great, hey? But I did post a Jeff Buckley video before that.
This post causes all sorts of metaphysical problems. Actually probably not, but stick with me here. The problem I'm posing here is, "Can you solve a problem of not having anything to post by posting about the problem of not having anything to post?" I suspect not.
chilling out, maxing, and this hardly needs to be said: relaxin'
Recommended Watching:
Jeff Buckley Live in Chicago. I'm good enough to have found you Grace and I will post it below for you. I'd just like you to bear in mind that if you are of a more sensitive disposition it contains bad words (wah wah wah) and also swears. Also bear in mind that you should really be listening to the actual DVD, with a great sound system.
Recommended Listening:
Definitely Nitin Sawnhey right now. That is some chilled out deliciousness right there. Even his album artwork evokes 'emotions'™:
Recommended Eating:
Well naturally the mince/cheese/macaroni pie thingummy that Nick and I have just cooked. Goes without saying..
Recommended Drinking:
A nice Shiraz or mebbe a côtes du rhône. Works for us.
I love the looks of this pool. Click on the photo for more pictures.
Here we are, anyway, on a rainy Saturday afternoon sat in the living room watching King Kong. We played at Winterwalrus last nite and that was some good fun. Star Chamber were headlining and it was a joy to listen to them again. They've got some new tunes up at their myspace. I recommend that you check them out.
Today is the final christmas day. Because we were skiing and whatnot we didn't have a proper Harding Christmas. So this evening there will be eating, drinking and general merriment to the delight of all.
I will bid farewell to you all now as I feel I have rambled on enough. Byesies.
I should always remember. A bad nite can be cured very easily by watching Enemy of the State. I'm seriously. Do you know how good that film is? It's got everything:
Will Smith Gene Hackman Jon Voight Jack Black Seth Green Explosions Hi-tech talk Satellite pictures Quotes A cat Women in underwear Car Chases Guns A green dog A BLENDER
I really could go on. Tonite I don't need to watch it because it's band practice and you all know what that means! We're going to be practising our new almost-7-minute epic rocker! Really that isn't as bad as it sounds.
Might have to reinstate alcohol watch just for tonite.
I jest of course. For the record, Han can cook some kickass food, Martyn reads this apparently, and also we reenacted the work it magic of Mark's party.
And if any of you didn't get any of the points of my year's summary you really should check the archives before asking questions.
All nonsense aside it was a good new years. Didn't get enough photos, danced almost enough, always always feel left wanting. Wanting something. Not sure what..
