Here's my latest photoshop fun time.

It was 1hr 40mins last nite. And I coped. Just. I don't think I'm quite ready for 2 hours yet, but 1hr 40 is a vast improvement on this time last year.

Apprehensive

I know I'm fitter than I used to be and big thanks to everyone who seems to be noting to my face that I've lost weight (although I suspect if I get on a scales I will still be the same weight that I have been since 2000 - 13 and a half stone) but tonite I have been invited to play an extra hour's foop-ball before the main hour's foop-ball.

I said yes, naturally, but what if I can't manage two hours of exercise? Disaster!!!

By the way, I wish I could take credit for 'foop-ball' but I can't. It comes from a wick-ass series of books. No prizes for telling me what that series is or who it features. I will leave you with a snippet:

Today, we're working with Cookies. You know you get those little hard cookies in packets like biscuits? Well.. Apparently if you brush them with water and then put them in the microwave they become soft like those fresh cookies from all sorts of places. Very nice. I think today maybe I'm making up for the fact that I didn't post yesterday or something. Not that I've made any statement that I will in fact post every day. And, indeed, not that I've even strictly posted every day. For instance on Sunday nite I was going to post that photo but had a slightly drink-related oversight. So I posted it Monday morning and then changed the date. Scandal!

But for some reason it seems that I am trying to keep up with wifey. Ah the competition of it.

I'm sat on Bobcat's bed on his campus in Canter-berry. We went out last nite and hi-jinks were had. Bobcat just went off to a lecture and I'd say the chances of anyone else being up before he gets back are quite slim.

In any case..

We're filming some interview stuff to make a promo/EPK for the album. Should be fun. Although it's going to be 98% guff and 2% great. So we'll have to film quite a lot. Apparently Friends used to have 12 hours of footage for one 22 minute show (including footage from multiple cameras of course).

Now the dilemma: few more shuteyes, or should I just read/surf?

It's raining in Central Park

There are so many moments in life where things could go one way or the other. Sometimes instead of just rushing past, you notice one of them. It's a strange feeling. I think I said something about this last year when El got mugged.

I did something the other day that, had another thing chanced to happen, would have been a royal pain in the arse. But the other thing didn't happen. All I could do for that moment was stand there and imagine how bad it could have been. And I guess I was a pretty thankful at the same time.

Sometimes these moments are out of your hands, but when they are in your hands and it comes to a decision, that's when it's the most.. um.. scary I guess. Especially with those choices that aren't obvious.

Well.. there it is. Not sure what you're supposed to do with it. You'll work it out I don't doubt.

Half term next week. Looking forwards to a break. Have a good Friday.

El's laptop has wireless. I can post/internet from all over the house. (Toilet, since you asked so nicely).

Um.. My eye got better. I think that's about all the news you can handle tonite. I don't think I've talked about Open Mic nite on here very much recently. It's still going. We named it Jack's Open Mic Night. In honour of Jack. And it's tomorrow nite. I think I shall play the drunken philosophers song so watch out for that one.

How's life in la-la-land?

Things aren't too bad here. Olive oil makes blocked ears turn into earaches, but I checked with nurse-lady and that's ok apparently. As for tonite, well, it's Marc's 18th and we're going to eat chinese, sing and celebratorious. Yes yes, y'all.

Joelyboy currently has an awesome Cd on. It's Beach Boys plus Friends. Very cool.

What else now? I just played basketball. Now that's not a bad sport you know. And the weekend is upon us. Yer.

More Ailments

Not that I want to turn this into some kinda medical blog or anything (what with all the horsefly bites, infected mosquito bites and umm.. well that other stuff I talked about) but I have gone totally deaf in one ear. I think it's some kind of blockage. Brought on by dodgy swimming pool water.

Weather show

This morning we were treated to a thunderstorm then this rainbow was with us most of the way through Hartley (whilst spilling my tea and eating my marmalade on toast). It disappeared about 1 minute after I took this. Then I turned round to see a glorious sunrise. Good times.

no offence but..

It really does make things easier in the long run not to take offence at things. A lot of times things weren't meant to be taken that way but pride will blow things out of proportion. On the occasions when offence was meant, how much time and energy end up getting wasted. Too much.

A fly just flew down past my face flying in tight fast little spirals. It was weird.

Center Parcs was very cool. I am rather bruised and battered from the rapids now though. Not that I wouldn't do it all over again.
