welcome to the longest mile
More financial security/flexibility or more satisfaction?
You choose.
We won the battle of the bands heat on Sunday. That's because
we were kickass. And I mean that in the most humble way.
We'll see how kickass we can be in the semi-final... Maybe not as much, maybe more.
It snowed a couple times already today. They're saying it's not going to hit us. Which could well mean it will. I mean, they said it would back at Christmas and it didn't. So what do 'they' know. One thing's for sure, I won't be conducting the usual snow-watch routine. It's far too boring...
Overnout.

All in good time
Well I think it's safe to say that we should quietly forget that last open mic nite. As my good friend mashford very nicely pointed out, my rendition of Don't Stop Me Now failed fairly comprehensively. 'C'est la vie' as the English would say.
Also, the snow all but melted by the next day. So that was no go also. I do remember telling you about the
scariest snowman there ever was and I think I also told you somewhat aboot
his demise. But I never posted teh pictar.
Well folks. Service may be slow here, but we get there in the end. Unlike
The Royal Mail which may never arrive.

So I guess even nightmares end up not being all that you thought they were in the end.
Also, those Star Chamber tunes I told you aboot in the abovementioned post are available. They're at
Star Chamber's Myspace site. Go! What are you waiting for.

I have to say
New Ash Green does look delightful in the snow. I'm cautious aboot saying this because my record of following up on 'blog promises'™ is fairly abysmal, but maybe, just maybe, I will take a pictar or two tomorrow and show any of you non-NAGers. Assuming the snow stays...
Open mic nite tra-la-la-la. Tonite Matthew I will mostly be forgetting the second verse of Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.
The Toby is outtahere.
my wife is a genius
Podcasts! While I run. Of course. Why didn't I think of it before? The problem has always been trying to distract myself while I jog. Brilliant.
So how's things in la-la land? Are you all enjoying yourselfs?
Three days a week is starting to find pay-offs. Although we need more gigs. If anyone has ideas of venues or knows someone who knows someone I'd appreciate it if you could let me know... I managed to get
this baby sorted out as well.
Then there was that whole cooking for 13 thing that I'm FAAAAAR too modest to talk about.
Of course the most sensible thing to do to get
Strangeday off the ground would be to turn this into one of them famous blogs like what you hear aboot on the BBC or in the Guardian and stuff and then just make everyone buy our album when it comes out using witticisms and carefully placed banner ads. But the whole thing might just well be beyond me.
Band practice tonite and then later, jazz. Oh and don't forget there's another Open Mic Nite on Thursday. Man that Jack Lewis is a brazen and godlike figure!

Sign o' the times...
Getting a rebuke from ones mother for not blogging enough?
We must be living in the internet ages.
I enjoyed Cambridge very much. Weird place. Which is my kinda place. Played a gig which went down well. Didn't have to drive home until the next day which was a very pleasant if not slightly squiffy change from the normal way of gigs. Got to stay with brother-in-law. Although I ended up sleeping in a chair. Which I
thought would be comfortable. Oops.
And now I am for tired.
For very tired. And I'm off to work soon.
So I will leave you with this piece of advice: Why not buy your albums from eBay. It's cheap.
Byezie bye.
Well them's fightin' words
www.apple.com: "What's an Intel chip doing in a Mac? A whole lot more than it ever did in a PC."
oooooooooh! Sna-aa-aa-aap!
it's a form of abuse really
Posting way too much. Not posting at all. My poor blog.
Never mind.
My good friend Anwar related to me a tale of a magnificent word this morning:
Hippocrocopig.
Dang. Word of the day. Hands down.
Whatelse?
Oh yeah. The Coq au Vin went down real smooth. Hey, thanks for all your suggestions peoples. The Jam thing didn't quite work out. I'm not sure what it says aboot my readers (or 'fans' as I prefer to call you) that the most comments I get in recent times are regarding S-Club frickin' 7. We ended up with 13 people in my front room. Eating. Food that I'd cooked. Which included the old crambe repetita.
That'sitfornowIthink.
ummmm...
Anyone know what the carp S Club 7 is doing in my iTunes liberry?
:: blinks ::
you know what...
neither do I.
I do know a few things though:
1. I'm cooking Coq au Vin for 12 this Friday. Anyone have any idea what vegetables one would serve with that?
2. I get to drive other people's company cars now. This breaks up the day somewhat.
3. Tonite I ain't doing jack. Well. Apart from washing up. But that's not too bad. And it's going to be nice to not be doing anything. For ya change.
Take it easy. And that.
Trespass
Yeah yeah my tunes is back for properly. Checkout the last updated date. ed.
Went to see Fizzle's latest show at the Miskin last of the nite. Very cool. Very.
Apparently
Coolangatta's not such a bizzare word. It's still not the point. Why is my phone suggesting obscure Australian resorts instead of 'cool'. Or 'book'.
Another one is 'donegal' instead of done. Why?
So tired.
But not at work. Which is nice... Lining up some leka gigs. Hopefully...
My phone is mocking me
For some reason it's suggesting 'coolangatta' as an actual word. What?!? Why?!?
It does this quite frequently. I'm thinking of locking it in the attic without food and water.
Except I don't have an attic.
