more great than a cheesegrater

Ok this will be the last one before I post a picture again. I know that's lame but there you go.

A debate in the comments of the last post (a link for lazy people) got me thinking. I was of course comparing my enjoyment of the two films - although I may not have worded it in a way that made it obvious. I understand where people who might feel that certain films are more.. I don't know.. highbrow? are coming from but I'm not very good at distinguishing. I guess if I thought about it I could work it out but the thing is I just don't care enough. The criteria for me is am I enjoying it? I don't need to be appreciating good work to enjoy something. Although obviously if something is badly made that is likely to impair my enjoyment.

I think that's what I meant. I had glimpses in my head of something more erudite and eloquent but then that's just me.

And Aran, if diagonality interferes with perspective you could always go for the close relative of the diagonal (in bed terms of course) the starfish.

(I made lemon meringue pies again. That takes the total made this week to 6. How bizarre).

I made four kinds of soup in two days this week - enough to feed about 30 people. Just couldn't decide which one to make so I made them all, Pea, Chesnut, Butternut Squash and Parsnip and Parmesan, and I only had 6 coming for lunch. . Had to throw half the Squash one away 'cos SOMEONE didn't throw away the old cream and it somehow ended up in the soup! Stress relief but it killed my back.

I want a lemon meringue pie though - can you bring one on the 3rd? Aran has asked for a buffet and banana splits and i'm not so keen on banana splits

Now Toby, I've just read your post back and it just doesn't cut it. Honestly you didn't approach what you were trying to say and I think I should know.

Try harder next time.
