if only...
It's weird to think about how things could have been. I don't recommend it for too long. You could explode. Or something.
Seriously though, it's been thrown into sharp contrast last nite. This week. Whichever. Basically El got mugged. Some guy leant into the car and stole her mobile. It's no biggy, but you can't help thinking if only I'd got a lift home from work, if only I'd seen her where she had parked instead of going round the block looking for her etc etc.
What made it more weird to think about is that we got home to find that the front door had been left open all day. Nothing was stolen, but I couldn't help going through the whole rigamarole again but the other way. Thinking about just how bad it all could have been. But it wasn't.
What's worse is to apply it to your whole life. What would things look like now if I had gone to uni. And so on. As I say, best not to. It wouldn't help.
This is my 200th post by the way. Congratulations tobiwan.co.uk. The more astute among you will have noticed that it is also the anniversary of the very first post. Who knew I could keep this up for so long. A lot's happened in a year.
You will also notice that my now playing plugin is back. Huzzah.
Off to nr. Kidderminster today for to play the gig. Fun times to be had for all.
