At the risk of having to eat my words

STOP PANICKING. You're not helping.

Panicking is an odd word.

Here's a random selection of thoughts for today:

  • The whole thing with people bemoaning the fact that the terrorist threat alert was downgraded not long before the London Bombings. I like what I heard on the radio earlier: The alert level is arbitrary. Damn straight. The authorities are not, repeat, not, all-knowing. And should not be expected to be so. Although now I've said this I suppose new evidence will come out to show that they knew well in advance etc. etc. Ah well.

  • Along similar lines: Is it me or is there a general trend to not trust professionals so much any more. Obviously everyone can make mistakes and this naturally applies to Teachers and Doctors etc... But there's much more of a culture of they will be wrong. Which leads to situations like pupils telling their teachers that they're wrong. When they're not. I have a specific situation in mind.

  • Holy carp have you seen those quiz programs on Sky that are the TV equivalent of rip-off scratch cards that come with magazines? SO. BAD. You can only know what I'm talking about it if you've watched it.

For those of you slower off the mark, the title and first line are referring to the petrol thingummy.

Toby and out.

Haven't seen the rip off game shows, but they were being discussed on a watch dog type show earlier. Apparently they fall outside regulation because only phone ins with call costs above a certain amount are regulated. How come you have seen them? Are you overdosing on tv again?

I think if I'm to answer your question I should at least know who you are.

However, I was at a friend's house hanging and we came across it whilst channel hopping.

Made me shout at the TV again.
